Bama 1979 pretty early in season vs a solid Mike Singletary led Baylor... most shocking victory ever 45-0 and a sign of things to come

You definitely are a window licking kind of special. No arguments there.

Baylor was a powerhouse in 1979! They went 8-4 and won the Peach Bowl!

I can understand not relating to gaging the strength of your team early in the year ..but use it also in reverse ...when did you know you were going to have another turkey on your hands?

The next season was a very good Baylor team. 10-1 and swc champs. Ranked 6th.
Meh, Bama won 30-2.

U could tell however, singletary was the real deal.
Major ogilvie ran wild. The best defensive player on the field that day was Warren lyles.

That was the only game I have ever attended where you couldn't buy tickets before the game. The 4 us just went to the Bright Star in Bessemer and had a great dinner. Seems like only yesterday.

Victory over Baylor...45-0

This is amazing. Bama fans are now resorting to trash talking about beating Baylor (The Texas version of Vanderbilt) as recently as 1979. Let that sink in for a second. Not even winning the West last year has really brought them down to Earth.
