I think this is another rule that’s different in the NFL.

if he's "forced" out by defender (Admittedly subjective) all he has to do is reestablish himself back in bounds (admittedly subjective)

Even when forced out you have to immediately come back into the field of play, advancing with three steps all landing in the white is not immediate.
