So the guy that is hated by his own fanbase, who is going to lose his job by the 2nd or 3rd game, who wasn't even selected as 4th team preseason all sec, is better than the first teamer. Not only do you think he is better, you think the consensus preseason all-sec qb is mediocre at best. There should be a disclaimer under all of your posts.

I think TCU is 100x more legit than Boise St.

Best result we could hope for is for UGA to smoke Boise, then for Boise to smoke TCU later in the season. So we can stop hearing about both of those brokeass wanna-be programs.

Boise has a #5 pre-season ranking and will be favored in the game regardless of the perceived home field advantage for UGA. The dawgs have paltry depth on the OL and no experienced RB's leading into the game. I think our defense will be improved so it should be a close game. The main reason I like my dawgs is our good special teams play. Wouldn't be surprised to see UGA win it with a FG late in the game but I will take this one any way I can get it. Boise will be fired up after getting embarrassed by UGA in 2005.

I wonder what the line would be if Boise was playing LSU?

Some of you crack me up. LSU is better than Oregon; Boise State is better than Georgia.

It cracks me up that some of you think we are still living in the 1980's

You have to understand. Boise has a very solid team, however y'all are still a WAC or MWC team, whatever conference you're in now. You will never get respect until you join a real conference and get rid of the cute little gimmicks like blue turf, no matter who you beat. It's just the truth.

Not it.

Signed, team that lost to UCLA 2 years in a row.

I read that UGA got 53,522 tickets, Boise St got 7,500 and the remaining 9,213 are going to corporate sponsor types. Both schools pretty quickly sold out their ticket allotment.

Also, the on field and replay officials will be from the SEC.

The home field advantage will be tremendous for UGA. Calling this a neutral site game is really kind of ridiculous.

Unless Boise State is making a lot more money off this game than UGA (UGA is getting 1.7 million, couldn't find Boise's payout), they really got screwed on these contract negotiations.

I can kind of understand the ticket allotment, although I thought it would be at least a little closer. But using SEC officials? Why would Boise agree to this?

They're probably not too savvy when it comes to this type of thing. They've only been doing it a few years.

I, for one, am pissed that UGA/Boise St. and LSU/Oregon are at the same exact time.

I'll be in Dallas for our game, but I'm DVR'ing both. My dream would have been for the UGA/Boise game to be a 3:00 p.m. kickoff and watch it in a bar before heading to Jerry World.

Boise did not have much choice. They needed this game bad.
