I'm sure there were a lot of juniors/seniors on one of the MSU teams LSU blew the doors off of 14 times in a row

The lazy reporters that just look at returning starters is a bad way to evaluate State's team because of all the experience the backups received, but people ignore why the backups played so much. Its because their two most talented players were backups. Their backup DL has never played a down of college football. Same can be said at a lot of other position groups.Their depth made them really good last year. The difference in this year's team and last year's is the fact they do not have a Chris Jones or Will Redmond on the second team.

In 2014 those young guys were freshman. LSU was the second youngest team in the conference, behind Tennessee.

And to who said "no, that's every year" I think you're forgetting how good LSU has been in the past and how many years in a row LSU skull fricked you.

EXACTLY

You win championships with players #23 to #45.

Everyone in the SEC has quality starters. It's the backups that make the difference in winning titles.

state doesn't have the quality experienced backups heading into '15.

The real low point for LSU in 2014 was when Kentucky played Florida in the swamp way harder / more physical than LSU did at home

LSU played Florida in Gainesville and without huge special teams returns, Florida wouldn't have been in the game. LSU also destroyed Kentucky in Death Valley 41-3. You should do more research before looking like an idiot.

So, you had QB problems, defensive problems AND special teams problems in 2014 but plan to be awesome this year?

MAKES SENSE

I'm saying Kentucky looked better vs Florida than LSU vs Florida last year.

Hell, Kentucky played harder vs MSU too so this really isn't a revelation.

Even though LSU 2014 wasn't a "good year", your record ended up better than it should've been IMHO is all.

It actually really isn't. I was researching MSU and came across an article listing the number of seniors and juniors and was surprised.
