I would be the last person to defend SEC refs. My school has been the victim of their poor officiating more than once. BUT our fans didn’t act like a bunch of spoiled toddlers and start throwing mustard bottles on the field. Have you never heard of booing - long and hard?UGA has intimidated more than one crew by booing nonstop for probably 15-20 minutes straight. It didn’t change a thing as far as the game but they along with the tv audience got the message. Over 90,0000 people can make quite a racket and after a while it gets to the refs since it’s nonstop. Schools can also file complaints to the SEC office. It won’t change a call or a game outcome but it can result in a crew being suspended. Just ask the crew who blew a call that once cost UGA a win over Tech. It was quite a scandal in this state. Also it sends a message that the crews must do better if they are going to avoid being suspended or fired.
UTrash showed why everyone thinks they are a bunch of toothless hillbillies. All of us in the SEC already knew that but now the entire country knows it. I heard they were talking about this disgrace on Morning Joe, the View and most of the network early morning shows. And if course all the sports networks covered it nonstop for days. Thanks UTrash fans for making the SEC look so bad
