The Fun n Gun days kinda sucked but don't understand why anyone would hate Florida so much. We play them every year too and there is no animosity towards are teams. Maybe that is why I wouldn't mind dropping them as a cross rival.

Well, yall aren't really "rivals". Prior to 2002 we played ole miss every year since like 1960, they were our 2nd west rival besides Auburn, and there was no animosity there either.
Trust me, there are plenty of reasons to hate florida.
