do you really think they are gonna dominate a game like Florida's 06 D-Line or Auburn last year?
yes

I mean if you really think so, Draconian, then we will just have to see. I'm not trying to bust your balls for supporting your team but if you take off the purple ang gold glasses, LSU just is a average to above average team this year. That's not bad though they will be 7-5 or 8-4. It could be worse you could be Tennessee over the past few years.

I guess when Phil Stelle, who watches more college football than everyone on this board combined and about 10,000 times more than you, says LSU is a legit NC contender this year he's just saying that because he's a huge LSU homer, right?

Not that I place much stock in what the 'experts' say this early in the year, but do you think that your assessment of LSU's potential season is more accurate than theirs?

So what part of TN are you from?

We were a more average team last year and won 11 games. At one point in the Alabama game we had 4 freshman on the field in the secondary at the same time.

For fricks sake man, only once in Miles SIX seasons have we ever had fewer than 9 wins and we all knew going into that season things had the potential to get pretty ugly (I think our pre-season rank was 16 or something). Its painfully obvious the only LSU game you watched last season was when we played Tenn.
Through 05-07 we were predicted to finish in the top 10 or top 5 and did so. Hell last year we finished in the top 10 AGAIN despite beginning the season ranked 19 or whatever. We've always met or exceeded expectations and almost everyone is expecting this to happen again.
9-3 wouldn't shock me with our gauntlet of a schedule. But 7-5? Child please
Unlike Tennessee, LSU will actually be pretty damn good this season. I'm sorry if you "don't understand" that.

Whydoes everybody think LSU is going to have a great D-Line? Sure Montgomery is a stud, but the DT's aren't anything special. The D-Line is just average besides Montgomery.
DT Brockers is very solid. He is quick for his size.
DT Johnson - true freshman but there is a reason they call him the freak.
DE-Mingo, one of the best pure pass rushers in the SEC
Yeah...it is more than just Montgomery, my friend.

Tell me why your D-Line is so special then?
Full of young but talented players. In the 2-deep, 6 of 8 have played significant time.
So while we only return 2 of 4 starters, we are incredibly deep.

we'll go 11-1, unfortunately, we lose in TN. But then beat GA in the SECCG and TX in the BCSNCG.

I'm around the clarksville/nashville area. I do travel to all corners of the state regularly. I'm in johnson city and knoxville alot.
To everybody else, i'm not trolling, I think LSU beats Tennessee this year and LSU is a talented team. Everybody knows the margin for error in this conference is razor thin. I just think LSU is on the bad side of that margin this year. LSU has tons of talent but so does everybody else. You have a terrific O-Line and secondary looks good as well. Everywhere else you are just on par with all the other teams in the conference, which equals a 7-5 or 8-4 type season.

And exactly how different is LSU compared to last season?
