I don't think they want 2 of the 4 to be from the SEC; but, there are only FSU & 6 1 loss teams left to pick from & 2 of them are from the non CCG Big 12 (-2).
We need to beat Vandy & Mississippi & go from there.

It will be a travesty that overthrows the committee before it ever gets started if any of those 3 one-loss teams override a one-loss SECWest team with 4 top 10 wins and the only loss to #1 on the road by 5 in a game you lost by turnovers and made the eye test/were superior in statistically.

Overthrow the committee?
Let's hope so

MSU is better than Ole Sis. They're a shoe-in without having to play championship game.

I hope the OP is right. I do not like repeat games. I don't want a repeat of the 2011 Bama/LSU series. Wasn't fair for LSU. I think the first team that wins (if closely matched) is disadvantaged psychologically in the second game. Fortunately Saban will have the history of that game in his brain and will probably have some idea how to deal with it.

All we have to do is beat Vandy & piss.

Personally, I don't want our team to be in unless we somehow make it to ATL and win, except maybe if Baylor and TCU shite the bed and a terrible upset happens in the PAC or B1G CG.
The regular season should mean something. Just waltzing in without winning the conference or even the division would mean future conference championship games mean nothing, and we would wind up no better than college basketball.

yall do realize if both Bama and MSU finish 7-1 that they tie for the division? Even though Bama beat them, it's still a tie, not second place.

Co-championship banners are Iil bro's deal. We ain't bout that noise.

Glad your opinion doesn't count.
Seems to me that all of state's, tcu's, Baylor's, and Ohio state's REGULAR season games are very important from here out

I disagree. MSU will not be jumped if they win out.

They need to pull for Ole Miss this week though for that insurance top 10 win to close with.

If we're gonna pull for someone other than ourselves, I'd rather pull for:
Wisconsin over Ohio state
BC/Florida/duke or GT over Fsu
Texas over tcu
Kansas state over Baylor
Oregon st/ucla or usc or Arizona or Arizona st over Oregon

Florida or duke beats FSU and we should get in. Ohio State shouldn't get in because of the loss to Va. Tech, I don't care about all the circumstances. FSU loses and the illusion of relative strength of the ACC is shattered.

Miss St. at 7-1 wins their division as much as TCU and Baylor wins their conference at 8-1 with no title game WTF is the difference?

I don't think I give a shite what you think

The fact nobody knows what the Committee actually takes into account.
What we do know is so far they seem to look entirely at the body of work and quality of the team regardless of conference affiliation....which was the original intent of the playoffs, to get the best 4 teams in.
All this speculation means jack shite. If the committee wanted to only have 1 SEC team in, then this was their opportunity to do it by dropping MSU to 5th or 6th and bumping the others ahead. They didn't do that and if we win out including a top 10 or 20 win against OM (depending on if y'all beat Arky) then they will have a hard time justifying OSU or TCU jumping us when they play a weak schedule compared to ours.
