I believe the lowest Wonderlic scores shed light on the low quality of their alma maters

I’d say most of our fanbase does too. There’s been a push to bring it back for well over a decade now. The reasons I understand it won’t happen is because Nike owns the logo and that ‘MSU’ doesn’t fit our branding.
Those are our cleanest uniforms, IMO. Maybe change the ‘Miss State’ on the front of the jersey, but everything else is great.

How do you score a 4 or 5? Don't you get 6 points just for spelling your name correctly?

Why not go back to using Nike?

I remember the day when I was comparing colleges on their admission standards.... Is a La Tech guy really starting this thread? Especially with Texas? I mean the fight with between La Tech, LSU and MSU is over who is the chubbiest kid at fat camp but Texas?

Morris Claiborne had a handicap which was not accommodated by the testers as is done at all universities. Thus, he decided not to go forward with the rest of the test. Making fun of him is very low class.
EDIT TO ADD: Claiborne had $32 million in career earnings in the NFL. How are you making out?

Previous administration pissed Nike off.
We had a split contract between Nike (Football, Track), and Adidas (Basketball). Other sports were on their own. Circa 2002-04, our football team was garbage and our basketball team was having success. Nike wanted the whole school but basketball wouldn't budge.
We had a home and home with Oregon where Nike provided Oregon these cooling jerseys and Jackie Sherrill publicly called Nike out for favoring Oregon. Nike's response was basically "Yep. Frick you MSU" and did not renew the contract. They own the rights to the "Interlocking MSU" logo and refused to license it back to us.
Croom came in and we signed an all-school with Russell Athletic for a few years. They screwed up our baseball uniforms and sales were poor. One of Greg Byrne's first things he did as AD was try to reconcile with Nike, which started at least producing unofficial stuff again, but Adidas offered us a much better all school contract and we've been with them ever since.

Pretty much all of this. At the end of the day, it’s about money. Why be Nike’s 50th “best” school, when we could be in Adidas top 5? We can get way more money from Adidas than we would ever get with Nike.

TBH Russell did a much better job with our baseball uniform design than Nike has since we switched 8 or so years ago. They were the only sport at LSU not wearing Nike at the time

Yep. We are one of Adidas' top 10 schools and they have really treated us well, especially in baseball and basketball.

We wore this crap in Omaha. Looked like a circus.

Yeah that’s bad. Adidas has actually done a great job lately on y’all’s uniforms. That weird shite they did awhile back was terrible however.

I always find that to be naïve argument. Are you implying that you aren't "making out" as well since you likely don't have $32 million in NFL earnings? And about 3 out of every 4 NFL players "go bankrupt or fall into severe financial stress within just two years of retirement" LINK Does Mo strike you as one of the 22% that will likely be in good financial health? It is a shitty thing to make fun of his score but pretending his paycheck makes him better than everyone else is pretty sad.
And you know the suicide rate of NFL players is more than double the national rate. You'd think that all those millions would make people so happy that they don't blow their brains out but doesn't seem to be working.
