It's time to change this state's image. Too long we have lived with backwards beliefs and haven't adapted to the changing world around us. I fully believe that we can step out of the past and really move forward with this A&M yell thing. Allowing gays to assemble on the courthouse steps will be a fascinating step forward and can really bolster our image.
So yell on Aggies. I won't stop you. Doing so would just be two steps backwards, and I'm ready to not be brought up in the same sentence as Mississippi.

This will go off without a hitch. SC fans will see it's really been blown out of proportion and the Ag fans won't wreck a thing there.

They had a fricking confederate memorial assembly about a month or two ago on the frickers.

It really would be a PR nightmare if you guys tried to block a peaceful gay assembly on your campus. If Houston can elect an openly gay mayor, the least you guys can do is let them practice their cheers. If Obama had an Aggie......

There is one, unless I am missing something. After a lot of protest, it finally got moved off the top of the State House. However, now it is just front and center on the front lawn. Just as much in plain sight as before. It is time for it to be taken down.

My bad...I was obviously having a flashback of some sorts. It has been removed from the dome and moved to the monument on the state house grounds. It's MUCH more visible in its new position than it was before.

I know it's a touchy issue with South Carolina, being the original succeeders and all. I don't think it's that big if a deal to have a memorial.

All that bitching and moaning ... merely got it moved to a much more visible place.
On the bright side ... at least the chicken mascot is safe ... no one is offended or intimidated by chickens, except maybe PETA folks ... so they won't have to be changing it to something stupid like "Black Bears."
