UT truly has fallen on hard times when they are going for moral victories pretty interesting from a team with probably the 2nd best history in the sec.

Well you should not be laughing. When we lose a game i am sick about it for a week. Your team did a much better job that most folks expected i do agree with that and i am one of them who thought you would lose by 30. But i would be sick about losing no matter the score.

Did anyone on here expect us to win? No. Many of you promised a blow out and sorry to say....Florida looked human Saturday. Would we liked to have won...hell yes...but 99.9% of us knew that would be a tall, tall order.

I think UT is going in a good direction. Like my earlier post, seems like if UT had a good QB they'd be dangerous. Time will tell. Also, looks like the Vols have a really good DC right now in Kiffin Sr.

Was there any doubt? Did you see Wyoming beat us last year? The team quit on Fulmer. I'm a season ticket holding alumni ('93) and I have never seen a UT team simply not want to play. Hard times is a nice way of putting where we had slipped to IMO. Our recruiting had been sinking since Rodney Garner headed to Georgia. Look at how the talent level has increased since he's been there. Now we are beginning to get the players again. Couple that with some solid coaching and we'll be back. I think what people were happy to see Saturday was not that we could keep it close....it was that our staff could coach and scheme, as well as recruit, up to their billing. The UCLA game had us concerned and the Florida game answered some definite questions. Not really a moral victory per se, just a clearer direction in which our program is headed. Anytime your kids play hard for a whole game, win or lose you should be proud of 'em.

What has Tennessee come to? happy with a 10 points loss

If there is one team in the country with worse offense than UT, it is Va. Tech's. You should be talking zero smack.

I knew this was going to happen. The media and most of the nation acting like florida was going to hang 100 on the vols made it so that a 10 pt loss looks like a win.

I figured UF would win something like 35-17. Now Vol fans think this is some kind of improvement over last year. The fact is, Florida isn't as good on offense right now as they were last year, and UT had a decent defense, which they also had last year.

UT had more motivation to win this game than any this year and florida probably read the press clippings all week. UT still lost and they're going to lose several more.
