This. I will never understand why we agreed to play App State. You have absolutely nothing to gain, and they are capable of beating a whole bunch of P5 teams on their day.

App State, UCF, Boise, etc. are not to be scheduled from G5. IF you want a cupcake go get a real one, and don't screw around and schedule an elite FCS team either.

As long as our head coach and offensive coordinator are still here, I can see us going 1-11 easily. Brother, these are the "old days".

We had like 7 yards of offense at halftime and were still in the game. Mizzou sucks.

We'll actually beat UT, Vandy, and App State and probably upset a team like Florida or A&M and end up with 5 wins.

I haven't seen Gamecock players' names in the newspaper for doing bad things since he has been here. He should get some credit for that, but no one gives a darn about that unless you are winning.

No HBC would ever just walk away from money on the table.

That's true, you do have to give Muschamp credit for that. We don't have a local police force that is in the school's back pocket and he still doesn't have players get in trouble.

I honestly think Muschamp is a good person and that he is trying his absolute best. He just isn't a good head coach and he seems incapable of the growth he needs to become one. I don't hate Muschamp, I just want him gone. I hate Ray Tanner.

Kinda happens with a program of our caliber

When you don’t win much, you start with the coach.

Ray Tanner has done more for your school than Muschamp could do in a thousand lifetimes.

Baseball isn't the biggest deal in the world, but he got UofSC in the national spotlight for several years.

He seems to be doing well at everything except hiring; he probably brings in a helluva lot of money from boosters on the good ol boy circuit.

Muschamp is 1-11 this year and is still the coach next year, I will permanently walk away from South Carolina athletics. Not worth my time, money and health at that point.

No you won’t. We all say this every year and yet we keep coming back.

Deep down we Carolina fans are accustomed and expect the hurt.

Muschamp wouldn’t resign at 1-11. He’d want his buyout, so he’d wait for USCe to fire him.

Sometimes coaches resign in order to avoid being fired just because they consider getting fired to be embarrassing. It’s not like most coaches really need their buyout money.

However, Muschamp is the type of guy who’d refuse to resign because he’d want his buyout.

Yes, Ray Tanner was a great baseball coach. We will always appreciate what he did for baseball and the school in that capacity. I don't give a shite how much money he raises, put winning teams on the field and that will take care of itself. The only thing an AD does that I care about is negotiate contracts and hire coaches.

Muschamp was a bad hire, but he lost out on Herman and Smart and was to the point of either hiring someone or looking like Tennessee. I get it, and for a while I was hopeful that he actually learned a lesson. The unforgivable thing is the fricking contract. Why did he need a raise and giant buyout? No one was coming after him. Muschamp didn't earn it, Ray just gave it to him because he likes him, and because he identifies with the coaches versus the school.
