You are saying that the Auburn fanbase was going to make their lives hell because their son made a career decision they didn’t like. And you think that was reasonable behavior. That does explain a lot about this thread.

I never believed those rumors about shattered storefront
glass and physical threats.
I’m glad his family decided to close shop and move instead.

The family did play our coaches and I think that’s why people were upset.
I do remember them posting his picture as a signee. Our AD jumped the gun but I think he told them he was going to sign and it all ended up being a big rouse

Have you noticed how the most highly coveted recruits to come out of Auburn High almost all chose to get out of Auburn as quickly as possible? I think that says a lot about Auburn. The town, the school, and the football program. While the Auburn head coaching job has been a revolving door, one thing has remained constant. Auburn kids with options don’t want to play at Auburn.

All the knifes stabbed in our back is beginning to run together at this point, but did he not also have some our recruits at that signing as well.
