Couldn't of put it better myself. We didn't have really any talent on the the team last year and what we had was very very young.

Just found out we have to go to dinner with my mother in law and her husband tonight...I'm going to have to miss a bunch of the OM/Arkansas game because of it.. I'll get away from the computer for a bit while I come to terms with it.
Easiest way to deal with shite like that is to take them to a sports bar. Then you can watch the game, and drink enough to be able to tolerate the in-laws.

I think he proved last year he is a good coach. It's not like Ole Miss had a bunch of talent and he turned them around.

Gonna take a while to see if he's any better than Hootie "back to back Cotton Bowl" Nutt was at OM.

Name 25 teams that have more history/tradition than Ole Miss.

I agree more time is needed to truly evaluate him as a coach, but he has shown very good potential. He turned around ASU and Ole Miss around in one year. I know 7-6 isn't stellar, but I thought Ole Miss would win at most 4 games last year

I can name 25 schools that are in a far better position to be successful as a football program than OM (which is my arguement)

Bama
ND
Ohio State
Michigan
Neb
USC
UGA
LSU
Tenn
Texas
Oklahoma
UF
Miami
FSU
Clemson
USCe
Auburn
TAMU
Arky
Oregon
VT
Stanford
UCLA
Wisconsin
And I'll throw in either Louisville or GT until PSU is off of their probation.

one year doesn't prove anything, IMO... coaches are judged on their whole body of work. Nutt won 9 games a couple times at OM, is he better than freeze?... what about mean gene chikiz?... he won 8+ games three times at AU (more than freeze won last year)... is he a better coach than freeze?

I'll agree that he greatly improved upon the expectations in 2012... but close losses to unsuspecting teams and one good recruiting class hasn't proven much. Time will tell if he's the next great college football coach.

I may have been exaggerating some with that statement. But my point is, that comparatively speaking, OM has a pretty small stadium (especially for a SEC school).

Off the top of my head:

Army
Navy
Princeton
Harvard
Yale
Penn State
Ohio State
Notre Dame
Michigan
Alabama
Auburn
USC
Oklahoma
Texas
Nebraska
UCLA
Wisconsin
LSU
Georgia
Tennessee
Washington
Stanford
Miami
Florida
Texas A&M
Florida State

There was a small period from 1954-1963 where Ole Miss was actually a good football program. They haven't really done squat since.

Auburn has more tradition and history then Ole Miss. I just named 25 programs off the top of my head but purposefully skipped over Auburn.

ETA: I will add them just to make you happy though.

No your argument was is there are more schools that coaches would rather be at. Don't change it now. Let's not forget how bad Ole Miss was just a few years ago. Clearly they aren't in the best spot to succeed RIGHT NOW but Freeze has them on the right path.

No doubt about it. I'm simply saying he had a very impressive first year and that has continued with recruiting.
