Will the SEC ever mingle the divisions and have a non-division based title game?

No.

OU will go 11-1, then lose the rematch to a 3-loss like KState, Baylor, or OKState and Big 12 will get left out of the playoff. This will happen more often than not

5 of the Big 6 in one division and L5U in the other

And then you woke up to find your sheets all sticky.

LSU still wouldn't win the West.
8-4 is the ceiling for Les.

My thoughts exactly when I heard about it. Every once in a while you'll have a solid okie state, Texas and who knows what west va will do. Don't forget about the couch burners.

You misspelled 'basement'.
80% of the time Les does better than 8-4 - including this past season - and he's never done worse than 8-4.
That's the definition of a basement.

The new rule is very specific for 10 team conferences, it doesn't impact conferences with more than 10 teams.

If this happened, and LSU didn't make it to the SECCG every year, we would have to fire everyone. The East would be what the West is now.

If Team #1 beats Team #2 in the season....but in the CG, Team #2 beats Team #1, Team #2 is declared the conf. champ due to the win?

TN & Vandy AREN'T going to be put in opposite divisions any more than Miss./MSU nor Aub./Ala. will.
