Absolutely, time will tell.
Regardless, with the current state of Georgia football, they will be in the upper crust. But no restructuring will have all of those teams in the same division. That would be BRUTAL.
However, SOS would go through the roof, so you could afford to drop a game where other teams could not.
Who frickin knows dude

Sidenote: UGA fans seem to be against playing Bama yearly.
I personally would like to play Ala. & LSU more. Don't know too many against that wish (either 1 or both schools).

The current 14-team/8-game model's fixed cross-div rival left only 1 schedule slot for rotating 6 opponents. Should've already gone to 9 SEC games. Faster rotation is needed, but not the fastest possible. It's not priority-1 at all costs.
New SEC-E/W 8-team divisions support more natural regional rivalries with lower travel time/cost for teams and fans, elimination of fixed cross-div opponents to improve rotation frequency, and two highly competitive division races. Honestly, I think that's what we're gonna have.

Hince why all the formats listed have their pros/cons. & personal opinions because people are primarily focusing on their school.

I've posted this before...It's funny how we're (more than likely) going to 9 games while B10/PAC want to do 8.

And Bama back door their way not once , but twice in the last 11 years.. (11 season) 2012 game and (17 season) 2018 game.
Whats your point?

IDK about PAC, but where did you see it about BIG10. Their commissioner was just talking about getting rid of Divisions and staying at 9 games; last month.

I have ZERO problem playing Bama, Florida, Auburn, UT, and USC every year.. because they are natural rivals and so many of theirs and our Alumni and fans reside in each other state.. I just want the best 2 teams in the entire Conf playing for the title every year.

That's always been impossible to guarantee. Just as a function of chance the best two teams will sometimes be in the same division.
All conferences and playoffs run into this potential problem. It's debatably not even a problem since you can't fall short unless you lost a game or games you had to win.

But how to decide who those are is the problem.

Here's how to re-align the SEC....
Mizzou - you're fired, GTFO
aggies - you're fired, GTFO
OU and tx - you took too long and no longer invited, so GTFO
Now, back to what was best before some dumbass left the door open.

Equally valuable is untrue IMO. Proponents of conference rearrangement commonly make promises like this but it often turns out to be untrue.
The big lesson from that history (Big 8, SWC, Big 12, Big 10) is you never destroy a good series. It is also extremely disingenuous for a fan who wants their favorite games preserved to ignore the priorities of other teams.
If you think a team should be interested in developing rivalries with Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma then you should push for Alabama to be that team.
LSU vs TX & OK rivalries will develop on their own quickly when they're in the same division playing yearly -- like the LSU vs A&M rivalry.

A&M is maybe LSU's 5th most significant rivalry game behind Florida, Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss. That's debatable since there's more history with Arkansas.
I like the idea of lining up Alabama with Oklahoma, Texas, and A&M. Culturally your fans are a close match with the arrogance of Oklahoma and Texas. There's also real football history with Bear Bryant and A&M.

4 pods 4 teams in each pod!! play the three other opponents from the same pod then play 2 teams from each of the other pods to get to 9 League Games.

Bama will make sure to have Missouri, Vandy and UK as permanent rivals unless one of them starts getting really goof consistently, so just make sure bama is always scheduled to play the 4 or 5 weakest teams every year and the REC will approve it

And that’s why there shouldn’t be divisions…
You lock 3 rivalries and rotate the rest.. you ply everybody home and home at least once in 4 years.
I know you may end up with a tiebreaker situation, but it’s not that hard..
head to head, record against common opponents, CFP ranking. Is that really that hard.

9 SEC games, that are made up of 3 teams from your pod, 3 rivalry teams(one in each of the other pods), and then three from rotating pods. A player gets to play against every SEC school within 3 years.

9 game schedule
3 games with teams in your pod
4 games with one if the other 3 pods
2 games against same ranked team from the previous year in the other 2 pods. Kind of like the NFL does it.
