I mean, he didn't whiff on Cam. He signed him out of high school, had him backing up Tim frickin Tebow, and then Cam stole a laptop and was kicked off the team.

I don't mean to be rude, it's just that this is a silly question.
Burrow then was not Burrow now. Burrow needed time to develop. He's leaps and bounds better than he was even last season. He's come a long way.
Plus, as others have already pointed out, Haskins was great that season. He's in the NFL. Urban made the right decision. So did Burrow. This is one of those rare situations that resulted in a win for everyone involved.
