He's not particularly close to being on the hot seat. If he goes 7-5 this year, everything will be fine. 8-4 and the fanbase would be ecstatic. 6-6 and his seat is lukewarm

Let’s be honest here. LSU, just two two years ago, fired a coach that won a national championship for them. They fired him 22 months after he won it in fact. Not even a full two years. Let’s not act like fans; and now school admins; do not have a very short fuse.

I would be surprised is they fired him this year but he looks in over his head so far. If they struggle this year he likely gets fired next year.

Nil and transfer portal have sped up expectations to win at big programs like Florida.

Who cares... I'm just glad as hell he didn't end up at LSU. That dude was begging to at least get an interview.
