How stupid is the SEC tourney Bracket?

Why would they seed teams one thru four with double byes and then not allow seed 1 to play lowest remaining seed of 5-14 and seed 4 to play highest reamaining seed of 5-14?
What the hell is the advantage of a 1 over a 4 then in round 3? Makes no sense to me.
LSU will whip that Gator or Piggy arse anyway, but I’m just curious as to why it’s arranged this way to begin with.

The only brackets that reseed are the NFL playoff brackets in the AFC and NFC.

It's not stupid, it's a pretty conventional bracket. Upsets happen.
Now, if you'd like to debate whether or not they should re-seed after every round, that'd be up for debate, but I think most are fine with the status quo
