No. I don't pay attention to them. Why would I ask them? They don't know shite.

Ok, since you are clearly going off the rails.....

Lets take your thread seriously. You tell us. How many permanent coaches have been named before the season was completed?

Our administration has no interests in making a power move, or changing the way they do things. President Fuchs was on the flight to try to get Chip to change his mind on full control and Chip probably said thanks but no thanks and he's on to UCLA.

Are you sure that was the stance UF took. UF may have been willing to give Kelly just enough control to satsify him.

That said, UF did seize their opportunity to fire Mac without paying him much of his buyout. On the other hand, UCLA gave Mora more time to succeed than Mac got and Mora is due $12M from them.

That contrast ain't likely to give Chip the warm and fuzzies about UF. Chip's resume could use a boost from a gig he's not likely to be fired from.

You are right. Strong should finish his season before taking the Florida job. He will do a fantastic job.

Same with Brian Kelly at Cincy

Not being trolled is going off the rails apparently.

You folks were trolled by the 2008Gator feller apparently.

There was no reason to believe a word of what he said.

It was fun to watch.

The answer is 1. Bob Davie at UNM.

The gator search won't make it number two. Time for all of you to step away from the ledge.

Was there any reason to believe him? What did I miss?

No I know nothing I doubt anybody on this board has any clue what's going on. I'm speculating like everyone else. I know the president was on the plane and he and Stricklin came back without a signature. I can't imagine a scenario where that's a positive sign. Either we have a lot more work to do or he outright said no thanks.

It's not an either-or scenario.

That'a not the part I'm laughing at. I'm laughing because him.clearly many of your own fans did believe him, and now are crawfishing.

People believe what they want.

There was no evidence really for all the excitement.

This place isn't exactly the bastion of sanity though.

I assure you, over beers, my UF fans and I don't freak out over shite like this. It just never added up.

These things happen after seasons, not during.

I'm not saying it will be Kelly or it won't because I admit to not knowing and the "tea leaves" are all over the place because writers are shilling for clicks. Folks need to stop falling for it.

Once it was evident UF was courting Kelly, I suspect UCLA informed Chip that Mora was a goner and that he was their top target.

Unless UCLA had already managed to secretly get pretty far along with Kelley, I doubt Kelly gave UF a flat no answer.

If UCLA gives Kelly agreeable terms, I think Kelly will opt for the UCLA gig.

I tried to politely point out to you that when I said "you", I was not talking about you personally, but the Florida fan base as a whole and you kept insisting i was talking about you personally.....that tends to indicate that you were upset.

What? Talking about how Chip Kelly was signed? nope. We are all becoming numb to the florida declaration of it being a done deal that will be announced today...tomorrow...next week...before the FSU game...after the FSU game...etc

I think we all have a pretty good idea of that.

Do you really think we are all on the ledge about when Chip Kelly is announced as coach of Florida?

And for the record, we have had two people say Brian Kelly and Steve Spurrier were two others announced before the season was over, so with yours apparently at least three.
Now, were you genuinely wanting to know the answer, or were you trying to point out that it hadn't happened before (which it apparently has)?

Apparently you haven't looked at the coaching thread on the Florida board. After it kept getting brought up on here I took a peek. You seriously think Florida fans aren't going overboard? They are still saying it is a done deal, and Straws is very adamant reassuring everybody that they should calm down....it is a done deal. (Which it might be, but don't tell us that Florida fans are not freaking out over this)

Of course we are, wouldn't you be? Our program is a shell of itself and we want a real coach. I have no faith our administration wants a elite coach, why the hell wouldn't I be worried?
