Saban is too intelligent to enjoy dealing with the type of fans/boosters in Alabama. I wouldn't be completely shocked to see him eventually jump ship

And Louisiana is a state renowned for it's sophistication.

Did I say anything about Louisiana?

Don't say things about Alabama. THAT'S my point.

Well, that is a painfully stupid way of attempting that "point".

Don't you dare say Saban will leave Bama early. They'll jump down your throat.

No. You thought you would just take a jab at the people of Alabama and I called you out. The people of America think the same about all states from the south.

ETA: We aren't the ones that are going nuts and wanting our HC's head on a silver platter for losing ONE game.

If I was Les Miles, I'd say screw this and leave.

I don't. His plan is to make CLM quit so he can go back to LSU.

He will be there until he works himself into a stroke inducing frenzy.

The only chance you got TT to get out of the 4 spot in the west is if Saban leaves.
Ps. Les is in for the Texas job.

I think Saban will be one of those coaches that will have trouble distancing himself from football. He's a competitor and football is a part of him. He's in a good situation and has complete control over the program. I'd say 5 years at least, but I've been wrong before.

I understand that Saban probably can't do better than Bama at the moment (ND is down, Penn State has the banhammer, OSU has issues, Texas is just okay, don't see Kiffin leaving USC right now, NFL didn't work out for him). However I don't see Nick coaching 10 years from now. He's 60 & seems to put a lot of stress on himself. I just don't see his health holding up to coach another 10 years. I think it's 50/50 as to whether he retires at Bama but I say he retires by 2017.

Seems Saban & Bama are a perfect match
Both are very passionate about winning football games

If Saban ever does leave Bama
I'll thank the Man for leaving Bama better off than when he found it

On January 8th, would you have been completely shocked to see your team get skulldrug 21-0? Just curious.

For a career as long as his, 5 stops is not that many. Especially considering every single one was a promotion (except possibly Miami to Alabama, but the dude just flat was not enjoying it, wanted to come back to college and we offered him more money long term than he was making at Miami).

Retirement, Notre Dame, or West Virginia are the only 3 possibilities I see. My biggest fear about Saban is actually not about when he will leave, but that he will stay too long like Paterno or Bowden. We all know the guy's work ethic and drive and I simply don't see him enjoying "watching the ducks shite on the lawn." I fear he will hold Bama hostage and refuse to go even when the game passes him by.
