You can claim 1958 all you want. But you weren’t undefeated that year either.
"In 1958, the Auburn Tigers had a record of 9 wins, 0 losses, and 1 tie (9–0–1), going undefeated in the regular season"

LSU was undefeated, untied and defeated Clemson in the Sugar Bowl. After finishing the season with a 10–0 record the team was named consensus national champion by the Associated Press (AP) and the Coaches Poll (UPI). LSU was also selected National Champions by a total of 37 selectors.
Auburn tied a Georgia Tech team that barely broke .500, didn't play in a bowl and wasn't selected national champion by anyone. You can call yourselves national champions 67 years later but that don't make it so.

Hard to lose the bowl game when you’re on a bowl ban. Which championship years was that? 1957, 1958, and 1993?

Claimed and recognized are two different things. No one gives a shite what some local press said says. WBRZ is about to claim 105 national championships for LSU then.
I claim you are gay.

Claiming ‘58 is so pitiful Auburn. You didn’t win the conference. The national champion is in your conference. It’s simply a great season, we all have them, you can’t retroactively claim each your best season as national championships. They were not championships. Show some dignity.

I just claimed the 2010 NC. Not for LSU, for me. I alone won it all that year.
