They've finished 2nd, 1st, 4th, 1st, and 2nd. This year will likely make 6 years in a row with a top 4 finish, possibly another title.

Oklahoma has been in the playoffs a lot too. It's a lot easier when your entire conference sucks. Not saying Clemson hasn't been really good, but they wouldn't be able to get away with games like this past Saturday that they have every year if they were playing top 10 teams 3-4 times a season like SEC schools do.

No one with any self respect would even pose such a beta question.

So make your phrasing less obtuse. How many stupid things have you said just tonight?

Clemson has been good for like 5 years. They haven't earned the right to be compared with programs like Alabama and OSU. They're really no better than LSU has been at times, or Florida for that matter. Fortunately, they get to play in the ACC every year and have no competition until the post-season.

They have been in the last 5 playoffs and 4 of the last 5 title games, with a 6-3 playoff record. They are a model of consistency and reload even when they lose a guy like Deshaun Watson. They are the opposite of what LSU or Auburn have been.

To have the season they had last year?

This is the loser mentality that will keep LSU mediocre forever. We’ve seen this with Auburn for years. They literally had (possibly still have) a wall in their team room that said “BEAT BAMA”. Teams and their fans who live off that ‘one great season’ back in the day are pussies and will never have a dynasty. This is why Saban never lets his team rest on their laurels.

I posted multiple times last year that it’s easier to get to the mountaintop than it is to stay there and LSU probably wouldn’t stay.. Now you know.

My simple-minded friend, I'm afraid you don't have enough fingers and toes to count the number of idiotic posts you make each hour. I guess I'll give you credit for at least being consistent.

LSU hasn't been this bad in over 20 years. They've won several national titles in that time frame. Wouldn't that point to this season being more of the outlier?

Now tell us how many 3-5 loss seasons LSU has had in the last 20 seasons and then tell us what the outlier is. Hint. It’s a bunch.

Oh god. No, what keeps Alabama at the mountain top is having Nick Saban, not some attitude of their fan base that neither plays for nor coaches the team. Where was this attitude when they struggled to remain bowl eligible for 10 years and making hires like Mike Dubose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, and Mike Shula? Did the attitude of the fan base cause Alabama to suck for a decade?

Comments like this are always so cringe-worthy. Congratulations for happening to be a fan of a team that fell into hiring the best head coach of all-time. I'm sure all your hard work watching games each weekend really shows the mentality you need to be a dynasty.

Imagine being a dumb arse Bammer who thinks fan mentality contributes to the play on the field.

LSU has had 7 seasons with fewer than 3 losses the past 20 years. They have had zero with greater than 5. They've had 3 national titles. You tell me what the outlier is. A national title season or a losing record?

Clemson also wouldn't get blown out by a bad AU team after losing to Mizzou and MSU. If Clemson was only good because of their conference their playoff record would look like OU's instead of being 6-3. You picked the wrong year to act like LSU is just as good of a program as Clemson and that the tough schedule is why LSU can't stay consistently great.

He has a point: the Bama fanbase is clinically insane, I think they'll firebomb the house of a coach who succeeds Saban when they realize he can't maintain the same standard. Other fanbases' are largely composed of neurotypical people with a firmer grip on reality

When did I say that? I said they weren't in the same conversation with Alabama and Ohio State as a program. I said nothing about them in comparison to LSU. It's been much easier for them to build a perennial playoff team when their season never really starts until January.
