Wrong. It was the 2nd season after their title. No one has performed this poorly in decades.

Pretty much everyone, but you don't have to fall on your face and bottom out in order to win a title. In fact, usually, the opposite is true. You stay really really good. This more so proves it was a fluke. The stars aligned with the OC, QB, talent coming back, etc.

With the typical 4 lay-up game schedule, this LSU team is a 6-7 win team instead of a 3-4 win team. shite, LSU went 7-5 after their last national title season, 4 of their wins coming against N Texas, App St, Tulane, and Troy (barely)

I think 7-5 would be likely with normal practices and no opt-outs

Right, there was one year between their national title season and the season in which they went winless in the SEC, like I said. I didn't say they went 0-8 the season following their national title season. But far be it from you to post intelligently. You very rarely do.

I'm thankful that I'm not LSU, regardless of anything else.

LSU hasn't been this bad in over 20 years. They've won several national titles in that time frame. Wouldn't that point to this season being more of the outlier? You talk about all the talent coming back. How about 19 starters leaving, the DC leaving, the psuedo-OC leaving, etc all in one off-season? The stars aligned for LSU to suck this year as much as they did for them to be great last year.

Auburn won 4 conference games in 2011, and then continued to fall the next year. I honestly don't think LSU will win again in 2020. So LSU goes from Champs to last in the division. I haven't witnessed a fall that fast.

I won’t lie. So many LSU fans coming to this board to cope with this season and looking for sympathetic ears to make you feel better about your favorite team is sad and pathetic. This isn’t a troll, it’s simply the truth.

Eh, LSU could still beat Arkansas and Ole Miss to get 4 SEC wins. I also think they could possibly beat A&M if things go right, although not likely. In 2011, Auburn lost their 4 conference games by scores of 38-14, 45-10, 45-7, and 42-14. Oddly enough, LSU's 48-11 loss to Auburn isn't all too dissimilar from Auburn's 2011 loss to LSU. Like we saw Saturday, LSU was up 45-3 in that game before Auburn scored a late TD to make it look more respectable.

Like not even a little bit. We’re still pulling top recruiting talent and we have pretty good excuses to make for why we are struggling.

They could and I am not the best forecaster on this board, but I don't think they will. The suck is so strong with them now that I think they lose out.

I thought the same thing, then they played South Carolina. Ole Miss' defense is bad enough that it wil probably come down to who has the ball last. Arkansas has been so unpredictable as well and still has Felipe Franks playing QB. If I had to bet on LSU winning 2 more games, I wouldn't, but I also would be surprised if they lost every single game they have left. I just think they'll accidentally play well enough a couple times to win.

To have the season they had last year?

Comments like this show that LSU is a lot more like Auburn than they are like Alabama, Clemson, or Ohio St. If you want to have the occasional great year mixed in with a bunch of average or bad years then fine. But I thought LSU wanted to be more than that.

Nah, we good, fam.

Teams who havent hoisted a trophy in decades may take it but teams who have a few probably wont be so quick to say yes.

Clemson has been good for like 5 years. They haven't earned the right to be compared with programs like Alabama and OSU. They're really no better than LSU has been at times, or Florida for that matter. Fortunately, they get to play in the ACC every year and have no competition until the post-season.

Yes and no. Clemson's last 5 years as about as good any anyone's the last 50 years.

They've finished 2nd, 1st, 4th, 1st, and 2nd. This year will likely make 6 years in a row with a top 4 finish, possibly another title.
