I really don't think we should constantly bring up how many NC's we have.

We generally don't bring it up. It's usually someone from another team who thinks it would make a "pretty good flame".

Bama has 9 national championships. The other 5 are retroactively( bullshite) claimed. BUT THEY HAVE 22 SEC TITLES WHICH IS FAR MORE IMPRESSIVE THAN 9 NATIONAL TITLES.

Actually it's on the video before every game. We've printed it on tickets.

If you use the same method that gives us 9 for every team, we still have more than any other team.

The only one we shouldn't claim is 1941. I think any rational fan would agree. All of the others were awarded by the leading polls/selectors of the time

bullshite. You claim titles from polls that weren't even around( retroactively). Those are bullshite titles and you know it. Why can't gumps be happy with 9 national titles and 22 sec titles( far more impressive)?

I agree. If you research 1925, that one is perfectly legit.

That Rose Bowl is also the reason Southern football began to be taken seriously. Other SEC fans should acknowledge our 1925 NC if they understand the development of the game

Just read about 1925, and tell us with a straight face we shouldn't have been National Champs, ok?

I mean on the SECr. Yeah, I don't think we should promote the shite officially.

A rose bowl win is just that. A rose bowl win. You can't start a poll in 1935 and award titles from the early to mid 20's. Come on

I think the point is that the meaning of bowls and post-season progress has changed and evolved over the last 100 years.

I mean, come on. 1925 isn't even in what's considered the "modern era" of college football (generally accepted to have started around 1950). You can't apply today's standards to a game which wasn't even the same almost 90 years ago, dude, and you know it.

Either way, the agenda of your posts is pretty clear.

There are too many problems to overcome so it's probably better each club pick their own and celebrate their own. The issue/conflict is always when the expectation is for others to concur.

What is a crimson tide, and why does it have a trunk and tusks? I want to know this more than titles. TIA Bama fans.

Oh please. Washington was undefeated, and considered far and away the best team in the country. Bama was undefeated, and beat them.

1925 National Champs!

Deal with it.

I dunno. What is a plainsman and what does it have to do with a tiger or a war eagle?
