With all the court cases, contracts, and ther issues around sport, does each University have an in house team or do they contract specialist attorneys to negotiate NILc coaches contracts, and injunction reading and filing?

That is a pesky tree, focus on the forest
MBA's and JD's have replaced AD's and Coaches in college sports.
It will not end well for the actual fans.

These college “brands” were built over decades. In the South, college football was the central sport, and many traditions developed around the team. Fight songs, tailgating, battle cries, in a word “pageantry.”
As school kids, many of us used to have the entire numerical roster memorized with numbers, positions, and hometowns. We became devoted to our teams.
I’m don’t think the new college football with forge fans that have a deep relationship with the team. Support will ebb and flow with success on the field for most. I don’t believe these monstrous stadia will always be full for 7-3 vs 6-4 type games. Each individual regular season game “just means less” as the playoff is all anyone will pay attention to in the new CFB paradigm.

The schools will not figure this out till it is too late.

They are too busy monetizing everything from the parking to the “Stepford” tailgate. Constantly asking for more and more money for aluminum bench seats and overpriced concessions.
Game times are decided by TV and the so-called “conference.” Fans bake or broil from 1100 to 1900 hours during early September. No cup holder. The big scoreboards become glorified ad space. Rarely are highlights of other games shown.
