Just wondering if the crowd had an impact?
Sounded pretty loud on tv.

It was pretty loud yeah.
Not like the loudest I've ever heard, but still pretty loud.

Don't know. Couldn't hear the crowd for the piped in music and strength coach screaming videos

Not as loud as I thought it would be.

Only watched on television and crowd noise on CBS just doesn't seem to come through. This is true for all games though.

Strength coach video reminds me of that blonde haired YouTube video dude with the happy hands.

I was there, and I was a tad underwhelmed with the crowd given the magnitude and hype of the game....thought the crowd was much louder in 2005 and 2007 games there.
It didn't have an "electric" feel to me. I think everyone was so damn nervous and not to mention it was pretty chilly in that stadium maybe had something to do with it. Not to mention the pom poms decrease the crowd noise to begin with, and I believe pom poms were distributed to the entire stadium. Also the game itself certainly lacked in explosive big plays on offense that tend to get crowds rockin.
Also, I was a little disappointed at how little the Bama band plays. Lots of piped in music throughout the game. And no offense to Bama, because they have a great program, beautiful stadium, and lots of great things, but their on-field Pregame is awful IMO.

Not even close to the loudest game I have been to at Bryant Denny. Kinda surprised....

The Iron Bowl last year was pretty loud at certain times, BDS doesn't really get that loud for such a big stadium.
eta: thought this was the other crowd noise thread

It was louder than I expected. I mean, I've heard that BDS is not THAT loud for how big of a stadium it is. Maybe it's the way it's built? I don't know.
It's not like I was expecting it to be as loud as LSU or Auburn or anything.

This kind of makes sense to me. Usually my nerves subside within the first few plays. In this game, I was still nervous as shite well into the second half. I really felt like the first touchdown was the ultimate winner. When Claiborne had that pick I finally had a release because I thought we would score.

it was way louder when we played there in 2007

Why don't your big screen operators show any replays except for Bama highlights?

It seems I had heard about CNS encouraging fans to help make a difference (paraphrased... whatever he said?), and had read on another site how loud it was.
I've only been to one game at Bryant-Denny, and that was back about '95 or so... wasn't a good time in Bama football, so the crowd was mild that particular year.

It never got as loud as 2007 when arenas returned the punt for a td, but it was very loud throughout. The lack of scoring had a lot to do with it. Neither team had huge td scoring plays that gets stadiums going nuts.

So did Bama get their 3 point homefield advantage somewhere along the way?

I would say that the UF game last season was loudest I had heard it, and this was a close second.
