Have to agree with the Farmer. I guess Krispy Kreme was late to the show in Texas but always felt like an east coast brand (NC I believe). Shipley's always seemed southern.
I guess we have better Mexican food and donuts in Texas.

Waffle House is in Texas, not in College Station
Shipley's was making donuts before Krispy Kreme knew how to make toast. KK came to Texas and Shipley's sent them back to North Carolina with their tails between their legs.

Well, truth be told, beignets from Cafe Du Monde or doughnuts from Spaldings are better but you are limited in your ability to get them across the south

When the europeans discovered the Americas (well technically is was the Carribian) they learned of BBQ from the native Indians as that was how they cooked their fish.

Just played jeopardy on Alexa this morning. The very first question (answer) was about the University of Texas and even mentioned the ‘horns’. No mention of the Aggies.
