5. This might be a year where the QB play across the board in the conference is down enough for two really good teams from other leagues to get hot on the right day and get in.

quote:

- An East team wins the SEC.

2. If Butch doesn't Butch it up, Tennessee will have a slight chance to win the SECCG.

quote:

- Leonard Fournette wins the Heisman

3. Heisman voters love them some stat monster QBs, and there will be three of those: Watson, Barrett, and Mayfield.

quote:

- Alabama loses 3+ games.

2. Not impossible, but highly unlikely.

quote:

- Tennessee wins the East.

7. They should, anyways

quote:

- Two SEC teams make the College Football Playoff.

1. Playoff committee actually does care about conference champions, and it would take some extraordinary circumstance for this to happen.

quote:

- Georgia wins the SEC.

2. I mean, there's always a chance that Eason becomes Jameis Winston, right? Right? (Kidding, this isn't happening)

quote:

- Vanderbilt notches at least two SEC wins.

9. Their defense will keep them in almost every game, and they'll be +2 in turnovers at least twice this year.

quote:

- Auburn beats Alabama.

2. Throw out the record books for rivalries is the old cliche, but who the hell is playing QB for Auburn this year?

quote:

- Nick Chubb wins the Heisman.

2. He may not get enough carries, and see above comment about the stat monster QBs.

quote:

- Kentucky places in the top half of the East.

1. Barring some catastrophic injuries to UGA, UT, and UF, their ceiling is 4th. That's exactly halfway, and I don't think they'll even get that high.

quote:

- South Carolina finishes dead last in the East.

4. Decent chance, but I think they'll be pretty good on defense.

quote:

- Five SEC schools are in the Top 10 by the end of the season.

3. Alabama and LSU probably will be, and Tennessee might join them. That isn't 5.

quote:

- Alabama doesn't make it to the College Football Playoff.

5. It really is a testament to Saban that they can lose so much and still be favored to win the league, but I think this will be LSU's year out of the West.

It really is insane when you think about it. Other teams in the Conference and really in the league in general can lose just a couple players and they'll play completely different as a result. It's mind-boggling how much Saban builds his depth chart full of people who will be ready to replace the current stars, while at the same time becoming stars themselves. He really is a gifted coach in this aspect.
