It's like an illusion that everyone who goes to Ole Miss has to be wealthy and from a classy family. Everyone tries to put on this front and if you've ever been to Oxford, it can get old very quick.
An extreme side effect of Oxford is delusion. See UM's championships, morale victories, student population of millionaires, the square, and Oxford being the greatest town in all the world.

A ton of Mississippi students turn on both Mississippi schools to come to LSU. Not hard to figure out why.
Not really. I honestly haven't more than a handful of people in my life who grew up in Mississippi and went to school at LSU.

And that type of thinking is exactly why I chose MSU. Nobody gives a freak about a championship that occurred before most of our parents were even born. It's all an illusion that y'all try so desperately to hang on to when nobody (not just State fans) recognize.
Why do state fans focus on this one reason out of the hundreds of why we are better than you?

He probably isn't talking about you. You can't even afford your own computer.

Can you please list these reasons? I need to have a good rant later.

Yes it's real but it's meaningless and doesn't effect our football team. I really hope the NCAA lays the hammer down y'all. The sooner the better.

Parents got degrees from State. I probably would have gone to State anyway but I wanted an engineering degree and State is the best in MS and very respected nationally. I don’t get the poor’s/elitist stuff. There are the same people/amounts of each at both schools.

I'll admit this, Im from a hard working middle class family never needed or wanted for anything growing up. With That said there are just as many fans like me who grew up Ole Miss fans.
Just because you are an Ole Miss fan or student it doesn't mean that you are from families in the upper 2% of the State's tax bracket.
Both schools have rich, middle class, and poor students. Which has NOTHING to do with the respective schools. Some people just go overboard with the fact that Ole Miss is only for the Elite students, when they have the same exact entrance requirements as Mississippi State.
Like C-Dawg said every state in the Southeast has fans from other schools within their state.
