yea especially if you take all athletics into account and not just football/softball like bama fans do.
state has had good basketball teams and great baseball teams

Stand between the ball and the sun. It'll take like 3 minutes, but the blades of grass will drop and the ball will fall in. I wouldn't have believed it of he hadn't shown me. That said, I hate golf.

Mississippi is largely an agriculture state. State is the Ag school all the farmers go to. So it's a combination of that and Ole Miss grads typically don't stay in Mississippi after they get out.

It depends on what month your birthday falls on.
August Birthdays = State Fans
September Birthdays = Ole Miss Fans
October - July Birthdays = Bama Fans

Grow up around them hearing them say that we are scared to play them, that they could win 8 games a year in the SEC and that their school is better than yours for your entire childhood. I wish they went winless in every sport from now until the end of time. If they're playing water polo I want them to lose by as much as possible.

USM is going to beat State in 2014, Henry. You're just going to have to DWI.

Was honestly an Ole Miss fan growing up. Once I started searching for colleges, I took several visits to both schools and the people are just different from any other college other than Alabama. The arrogance is unbelievable.

And this right here is how you end up with a school full of pussies

Ole Miss is really far north in Mississippi and State has a lot more supporters in Southern Mississippi! The thing that hurts state is having Ole miss who are usually decent and known for having beautiful women, in the same state and right in the talent rich northern mississippi and Bama, Lsu, Southern Miss occasionally steal their top talent in the delta!! Alot of States supporters are in SOuth mississippi, but they are split because so are alot of LSU fans.....state suffers!

That was difficult to read.

Parents going to state is about the only thing... But to be honest, ole miss is about as parent/accepted affiliated as state. Lots of LSU and bama fans from Mississippi.
I can think of a very sizable portion of my friends who don't have Ole Miss roots that went to Ole Miss. Can't say the same for State.
