How does Bama compare with tu in running a conference?

This question is mainly for aTm & Mizzou fans.
Since it seems that a lot of Ranters think that Bama/REC runs the SEC, does it compare with how Texas runs the Big 12? Are there similarities and differences in how they run the conference?

There is no comparison. They controlled everything and didn't really hide it. I can't imagine how LSU fans would react if Bama pulled some of the same shite

Big12 doesn't share revenue evenly like the SEC does so it doesn't compare. I think I saw where UT gets like 60% of the big12's total revenue or something like that.

The SEC would revolt if Bama ran things the way bevo did. The SEC understands that a strong conference depends on all teams being successful an competitive. Deloss and his gang were all for UT an screw everyone else. Huge difference. There is no comparison between the two.

Y'all are both manipulative and such, but tu was a lot more honest about it. Alabama sort of operates in the shadows a bit more. tu, much like with the Pac-16 deal, tries to negotiate and operate on the assumption that they will get everything they want, and it won't matter what anyone else wants. Bama seems to know that the rest of the conference thinks they are snakes, so they are constantly in spin control and denial. Different animals.

There is literally no comparison. Texas used their power to marginalize their competition to make them look better. Bama uses theirs to win football games. I'll take Bama's "fiefdom" over tu's every goddamned day of the week.

Well, Bama has 3 national titles in the last 4 years
tu has one in most of our lifetimes
They are much more like Notre Dame than Bama if we talking about the last 20-30 years....power & money, but not a lot to show for it relative to what it should produce.
(Yes, they've won a helluva lot more than we have, but this thread is about Bama vs tu, not A&M)

What are you talking about, Roy kramar told every SEC school to back off the Means kid but bama, the SEC commish let bama get killed. Then the vols made a deal with the ncaa to let them off if they turned in Logan young and Fulmer was secret witness, please. Alabama has no more power than anyone else. UGA and UF have the power, who do you think got the new signing rules in place, UF and UGA. bama, lsu, auburn and everybody else was against it. Please, Bama was the SEC whipping boy for ten years.

Google the name Charles Allen Wright.
Then, google the "dirtiest" NCAA football programs.
That, and this photograph, tells you all you need to know:

Love how thats still refuted as some aggy conspiracy theory
Imagine a picture of a ref in a Bama shirt surfacing after a close win over LSU or Auburn. It would be national news.

This.
Happy my alma mater (along with Nebraska, Mizzou, and Colorado) had the cojones and the resources to strike out on our own and look for better options.

was called out as the poster "jtaylor" on TexAgs, and promptly self-banned. This is just one example.
Really, the Charles Allen Wright crap is much more compelling.

I guess a main difference to point out is that the sips made a new TV network dedicated purely to their own school. Which has an underwhelming viewer count and minimal influence compared to what they were spouting off about before the LHN launched.
The SEC Network, while not yet operational, appears to be the home-run as far as new network channels/deals are concerned. Together we are better than each individual alone (but fu%k all you guys, seriously).
But that's just a mind-set difference between the Big 12 and SEC in general. Not sure it's an Alabama vs. tu direct comparison. tu sunk it's own ship and Bama is trying to play for 3 straight national titles, must more be said as far as program success goes?
