I am just tired of watching him blow kisses to his fans like he is MJ or something.

Tell Nick Fairly that Newton stole his laptop.

I meant a dropped pass in the endzone.

it was Clemson and MSU that were a FG away

i thought they lost by 8 pts?....

Your punter and punt coverage should get the credit for keeping LSU in the game IMO.
Truth. My point is, everyone focuses on the huge rushing yards, but the defense/special teams did a good enough job to win the game. Our offense just blows. Even then, it was still a winnable game in the 4th quarter. I think you have to have a solid secondary to be able to lock down the receivers one on one, and a good quarterback. Auburn is going to score points, though.

When the Browns beat the Saints a few weeks ago their defense only had one to two lineman in a three point stance the rest were upright. Sometimes they rushed, other times LBrs rushed and this confused the o-line. They could not know their assignments and this confusion led to negative plays. This approach to the way Cam sits back and waits for his blockers to engage to pick a hole could disrupt his running game.
just a guess, he's great.

USCe has done the best job IMO. While the MSU and Clemson games were close, Malzahn and Chizik were still learning Cam and how dominant he could be.

the problem with cam is that he is "THE" zone read QB, maybe the best of all time. He has long arms that also extend the read part of the play. He almost ALWAYS makes the correct read, and when he doesn't , he protects the ball.
Throw in that they like to sweep McCaleb or Dyer to the left side when the defense has been getting drilled by Cam (that play works EVERYTIME i've seen it for a huge gain)
The best way to stop him is superior play at the line of scrimmage, that AU line doesn't get enough credit IMO. They made Nevis non-existent and we all saw what he did vs Bama.

seriously though, USCe was a field goal away from winning.
Final was 35-27. Math wasn't your major I guess.

quote:You are right. I was thinking more along the lines of USCe did the best job competing with AU with Cam playing unleashed (unlike the first 3 or so games). Garcia was playing great until the fumbles and we absolutely had no answer for Alshon. No one has or will stop Cam. Just have to keep AUs O off the field and try to keep up on the score board.

This is spot on. Ellis Johnson said our linebackers and secondary could not follow the read option play because of Cam's long arms. It looked to them as if the ball was going to the back -- Cam would still be reading the linebackers -- the linebackers would commit to the back -- Cam would pull the ball back and take off with the defense going in the wrong direction. After that, his speed and power took him for a big gain.
You have to penetrate, hold position, play your assignments, and -- when all else fails, just commit to Cam carrying the ball and forget about Dyer.
The other impressive thing about Cam is his vision and patience. Not many running backs -- and practically no QB's -- can stand there waiting for the hole to develop like he does.

i would say just tackle cam on every play. I mean, he is the one that will damage you the most by far. If he hands off hopefully you can get enough jersy's to the perimeter to stop dyer or fannin/mccaleb.
just tackle his arse.

The only way I could see him being stopped is if you brought in other professional football players.
