I enjoy it for about a week after the game if we win. The other 51 weeks it's miserable and I hate both sets of fans.

I remember a movie where Walter Matthau was watching a football game on TV. The wife comes in and asks:
"Who's playing?"
"Mississippi and Mississippi State."
"Why on earth are you watching that?"
"For the injuries."

It's the most hateful it's ever been thanks to both programs actually having success as of late. I think it's funny that we all hate each other; we are all from the worst state in the union and have the same beliefs for the most part. It's crazy what a football game can do to people

It was pretty bad in the 90's with Jackie's success and Billy Brewer and Tubby. It's that same as it always been. Hugh might be stating that b/c he's feeling the pressure now of success and being under scrutiny with the investigation. Mullen has always stated he wants the eggbowl to be the decider of the SEC west. Maybe it that darned interweb social media that made it more apparent.

Social media is what's caused this rivalry to be more vicious. There's always idiots in the rivalry.....now, they have a medium to express their idiocy.
