It would take an Alabama inbred to enjoy seeing a guy put his balls in anothers face.

Not an LSU fan but I love the way Hilliard runs, one of my favorite RBs in the country. LSU's RB's are excellent.

If Fowler plays FB in power formations with Williams at TE we'll have better blocking.

Not sure. Whoever has the hot hand will get carries. That freshman tank might end up with 250-400. Who knows.
I think if hilliard lost weight, then he will get the brunt of carries.
Ware may return to form.
It is a VERY nice problem to have FWIW.

Lacy and Fowler played. Yeldon and Hart won't disappoint.
So, Mett's QB that's never played a significant down of CFB is better than McCarron, mirite?

So in Alabama does "never stepping foot in a live college football game" mean the same as " never played a significant down?"

I think Hilliard will definitely be LSU's leading rusher, but I also expect to see Ford more often because he is a true veteran RB.
I hate to say it, but I think Alabama's running game is going to be fantastic. They have Barrett Jones returning on the O-line, and they have some good running backs, too. Yeldon is going to be a name to remember. Lacy coming off his turf toe injury should also be good.
The good news for LSU is this--anyone remember Josh Dworaczyk? He's LSU's best offensive lineman who got hurt before last season. He'll be older than most seniors when he returns because of injured reserve (I think that's the proper term). He will help LSU's run game, too.

Mett has stepped foot in a game, he played a couple of downs where he handed the ball off at LSU last season. That's why I said a significant down.

I really liked Hilliard in spring game. He seemed a tad smaller but a bit quicker, and perhaps a little more power. Hard to tell from the stands but that my was my impression.

If Bama fans are comparing Lacey to Richardson they're truly more delusional than I gave them credit for and that's down right impressive.

Lacy is no T-Rich. Hell, Lattimore and Davis are no Trent Richardson. Let's look at it like this. A majority of people will say Lattimore, Davis, and Lacy will be the three best RBs in the SEC, and potentially the nation this year. What do they all have in common? They were all injured last year. But, do you know which one played?
Lacy.
Lacy's injury wasn't as serious, but he was still injured, and he still rushed for almost as many yards as a healthy T-Rich did his Freshman year as a back up, and similar TD numbers, in one less game, and I believe on less carries. Neither played in garbage time, they played to relieve the number one back at the time. Lacy isn't as good as Trent, but he could have similar production because of the system and his O-Line. He won't have many REC yards like Richardson did, most of the RB REC yards will go to Hart and Yeldon.

i always get the impression when fans of other teams try to talk about lacy that they have never actually watched him play or did not pay attention or something. So here is the lowdown. Lacy is 6'1, 220 lbs, runs as strong as anybody in the nation (does not run as strong as richardson, but no one does). Has legitimate 4.4 speed, great elusiveness, great power, and accelerates perhaps even faster than Richardson did. He keeps his legs churning and can move a pile as well as anyone (rewatch the NC game, carries the entire lsu defense on his back for a 1st down at one point, with turf toe). He does not need to be be richardson, just healthy, to be the leading rusher in the SEC next year. He will have a better line than Lattimore or Davis, both of whom are coming off of much more serious injuries. I dont see any of the lsu back leading in rushing because they seem to spread it out pretty evenly among 4 players. I know you dont like it, but you should get used to the idea.

bbbbut he was injured as a back up and h-he's overrated, and LSU is gonna shut him out in a 49-0 thrashing of Alabama!

it's hard to say. mettenberger should help the running game, since teams will no longer be able to stack the box (if he's as good as advertised).one minute i think ware will be the leading rusher, the next i think ford. hilliard very well could be, but then again, some people think jeremey hill is better than him. it's amazing how loaded LSU is at rb. i glad i did a good job answering your question though
