Why do people think TDs are some magical stat for a RB?

How many TDs did Henry have inside of 5-10 yards?

TDs for a RB are all about opportunity, almost anyone can score from 1-2 yards out with Alabama's OLine.

For the record, 11 of his TDs were scored at 3 yds or less.

Once again, why is TDs considered the "it" stat to measure an "overall" player?

It is funny that some bama fans say how well Henry did this season while others are saying that LF7 or McCafery (mostly him) was the best football player in America.

I think it comes down to who you think deserves the Heisman, the best player on the team who made the playoffs, or who was actually the best all around player during the season? I think you gotta go with the best all around player and that would not be D Henry.

Bama fans keep forgetting about how great their Oline has been and will be under Saban. T Rich is a great example of this as the NFL exposed him. D Henry is a great RB but he has to make it through the LOS to get the speed built up to truck people. This usually happens with the Bama oline. Also Henry isn't even the best RB in the SEC.

And almost any player can get 1000 yards returning kicks when you have a shitty D. Sanders had most of his yards running and some receiving with 44 tds. His season was worlds better.

And almost any player can run for 150-200 yards if you give him 40-50 carries.

Almost any RB can put up numbers behind possibly the best Oline in the nation. How many times have we seen this pan out in the NFL?

Great. That's part of being a RB.

I watched Macafferey get stuffed numerous times this year on short yardage. Even the retarded announcers pointed out that CM couldn’t get it done in goal line situations. Then his own COACH made mention of their struggles to score on the goal line at the half.

Maybe thats why CM has 7 rushing tds?

CM is a good player. I watched at least 3 of his better games this year. Not deserving of the Heisman.

You want to win? Don't wet the bed against the likes of Northwestern and the worst Oregon team in five years. The kid is a great player, but I would love to see him in prime time against the front that is The Alabama defense. We wouldn't have every sportswriter in America yelling recount.

I would have loved to see that too. In every game I saw him play he took advantage of some very mediocre opponents. That doesn't mean he isn't good. He clearly is. He just isn't as good as DH.

I also don't care very much about APY.

Where did this metric come from? Should all HMan candidates play both ways, QB, return kicks etc..? Is this the Jim Thorpe award?

Henry had a better season than CM. He deserved the award more than CM.

If the vote for Heisman were today, McCaffrey would win running away.

Open your heart and let that Bama hate out, old man. You're gonna die soon. No need to spend your remaining days in bitterness. Best to find peace now. Otherwise, you're gonna get to heaven and find that Pistol Pete is the Bear's lawn guy up there, setting yourself up for an afterlife of agony. In such despair, you will wander "this can't be heaven." But alas, an LSU fan through and through to the core of your soul, you may reach nirvana one day upon the realization: come heaven or hell, in this life or the next, the corndog sine qua non is eternal butthurt.

Dude this was an epic masterpiece! I laughed aloud at this!
