How come there's almost no houses on the shoreline of Sardis Lake NW of Oxford?

Army Corps of Engineers lake so you can't have a dock on it.

Yes, it does. And, they wont keep enough water in them to make sure you have boat ramp access all around the lakes.

Winter pool acreage for Sardis is 10,700 acres, normal pool is over 32,000 acres and flood pool is almost 60,000 acres.

During the winter months "the lake" could be miles away.

Alot of the immediate land surrounding those coe lakes is owned by the coe.
