This is newton's first year starting how the hell was he supposed to rack up hardware and stats?

Look if you wanna say that based on watching both players you think tebow is better go for it

Tebow is a better passer and leader. Cam is a better runner

Don't throw out hardware and career stats unless you want to count newton's junior college stats

These are the two measures that college football players are remembered by, and unfortunately for Cam JUCO stats don't count in the discussion

Yea for players who played like 30 years ago and we couldn't watch them live. You've seen both these players play and that's what you should base it on. Also this would be newton's first year starting anyway unless you think he beats tebow out for the starting spot last year which would kinda defeat your argument huh?

And what if he doesn't win? Going to be hard to compare a guy with no hardware to someone who has won every award and championship imaginable.

Do you also think Trent Dilfer is better than Dan Marino?

please look at the stats i posted to start this thread... they are single season stats, at the same point in the year.

I think Tebow is better. Maybe 2 QBs better than him ever, Staubach being one of them. The other, maybe, Spurrier! HAHA

And what is your basis for tebow being a better leader? Bc he's white and the media blew him for being so absurdly in-your-face religious? Newton has yet to lose a game has a starter and has elevated the play of his entire team.

You should talk to Coach Meyer, because that's better than what you're getting from your quarterback right now.

Stupid argument. Tebow has tons of individual awards

I did. Tebow's were better but it's close enough that i chalk up the difference to tebow having a much better defense that got him the ball in better field position, gave him more possessions a game, and an all-american named percy harvin who so far has had a much larger impact in the nfl than his buddy tim.

and is nowhere near the passer Tebow is. Cam is also blacker, so it would be easier to compare him to V. Young, who by the way, sucks.

Vince Young is much better than Tebow, which is why he got drated much higher and actually gets to play QB in the NFL.

And so will cam after this year unless he breaks his leg or something and even then he'll probably get alot. So keep throwing out that argument for the next two months bc after that it will have zero weight.

No it's clearly a Florida vs. everyone else thing.

But Ole Miss and Jevan Snead can and Auburn with Brandon Cox can..

I think it is more of a rational, way too early for this type of talk group against everyone else. You are talking about play from 10 games compared to a guy that won 2 national titles, 2 SEC titles and every other award known to man.

Newton could very well not win another game this year, then all of this talk looks ridiculous. It is a lot easier to make a comparison when one guy's career is not yet over.

Not to mention one thing Newton won't be able to touch is Tebow's consistency. Tebow was around for so long and sustained his play at a high level for so long. This could be nothing but a one time thing for Newton.
