How bare did Meyer leave the cupboard at UF?

I don't recall UF ever having a bad class and I remember some were billing one of their classes under Meyer as potentially the best class ever. I don't understand how people say Urban left UF in a mess?

There are big gaps on the roster where he didn't recruit the right kind of player or certain positions.

And they have had a lot of attrition with injuries and players getting in trouble.

This. The getting in trouble part has slowed way down so props to Boom for that.

We have no play makers at RB, WR or QB right now. Our OL played terribly too. We don't have a true TE on board either.

I think we are down to 63 true scholarship players.

The cupboard is pretty bare.

The D seems to be coming around but we have no scary DEs and need depth everywhere except for DBs. We have tons of those but how good they will be is a mystery for now.

I thought UF had the "best recruiting class in history" in Urban's last full class. What happened there?

You would know more than I but Driskel or Brissett aren't going to be good quarterbacks? I haven't seen them much but they were highly touted after high school and are just freshmen.

Brantley was going to be good too. Really good. I have high hopes but they've been tempered. We need a good QB coach. Know anyone?

Sao: Frick you.

A lot of teams out there are winning with less talent. 4 top ten recruiting classes in a row.

With Urban's style of players. Are you the only one who doesn't see this?

He never misses a chance to hit up a UF related thread. Just ignore him.

We don't have a RB, WR, TE, OL, DE, DB, LB grouping that scares many.

Highly touted recruits apparently don't always pan out. Right Arky.

Yall have a good d line. And he didn't leave yall without talent, it just wasn't the right type of players for the offense muschamp wants to run..

DTs got pushed around way too much and we don't have a single DE that would scare tweety bird.

Offensive personnel needs either a big overhaul in recruiting or a lot of coaching up. Defense will be pretty good I think, a lot of young and inexperienced players but still very talented.

Ronald Powell, Sharrif Floyd and Dominique Easley should be successful no matter who recruited them. I find it difficult to understand how they would fail, especially with a guy like Muschamp at the helm. That defensive line in the 2010 class had 3 of the top 10 players in the nation. That front should absolutely be scaring people by now.

Not bare at all. It's not the recruiting that's bad, it's the coaching.
