Clemson has it made in the shade. A league full of Vandy's and an occasional out of conference game. Consider that their game of the year this year is against the 4th best team in The SEC West. Their are only so many "get up" games in a team each year. They snooze through the league and best up on a middling someone from the other division to win the conference then the playoffs. And they put everything into two games. Consider the SEC. If Bama wins the west they would have to play 4 in a row of Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma (last year, Clemson the year before) and then the championship game. Don't give a damn how good you are that's a tough row to hoe. Or UGA. They have AU in Nov then likely Bama then an OU and a Clemson. Or LSU. They get Bama in Nov, then Aggies, then UGA, then an OU and then a Clemson. Hell that's impossible. Or AU. They only gotta beat Georgia and Alabama in Nov but go back a week after Bama and beat UGA again just to get to OU and Clemson. You go through that gauntlet and look across the field at a fresh Clemson who has pointed to this. They and Dabo got it easy and know it.

What the hell would they when they can breeze through the charmin-soft ACC and go 12-0 year after year? Being in the SEC would cost them shots at the natty some years.

Stupid post, we all know Clemson is king of the hill now but Saban will win game 5 come Jan 2020. You heard it here first, Bama goes undefeated , close wins over A&M & Lsu and gets even with Dabo.

Not every year. In 2016, to win the natty, we had to go through an ACC that went 10-4 vs the SEC, including a near sweep on rivalry Saturday. And besides, even if it were a league full of Vandy, that's not always a gimme, being a Tennessee fan, you should know that. I mean three straight by double digits and two by mmore than two touchdowns.

I'll give you that the ACC was down for out 2018 National Title, but just might have been the toughest league for our 2016 National Title. At least that was the buzz after the season and bowls that year. Remember, FSU beat Michigan in the Orange Bowl that year and had beaten Florida for many years straight.


And since you say every year, that would include a lot of years. Tennessee is 5-5 in its last 10 games vs the ACC, that's not exactly a cake walk.
