Wouldn't make it acceptable.
And it wasn't his replacement that got burned again late.
Plus, I think it was our defense who got us back in the game really. LSU started the 2nd half with a 20 point lead and the ball.

LSU is young but the talent is there to have a good season. Whether or not it's a 10+ win season will depend on the OL and Brennan. Their running game is unknown at this point but defensively they should be formidable. Too many ? marks at this time to make an accurate prediction on wins\losses this year. Plus we don't even know if there will be a season. However, if there is a season based on the known and unknown about both teams. Then yes, Bama can win by 21+pts. But things can happen over a course of a season to change the landscape by a lot. A lesson Bama fans know all to well!

No but you had starter Todd Harris out, then we lost Vincent before halftime, and Delpit was playing injured. Maybe Stingley didnt get help like he was expecting or something.

Last season, LSU was a preseason -17 Point Dog to Alabama the Exalted and Irrelevant !!!
At Game Time, LSU a -5.5 Point Dog then “humiliated” (Alabama Fans Words) the Tide.
This years’ preseason line is -2.5. At game time the line will likely be LSU -3 to -7.
Imagine how fired up LSU was to maul your Aggies last year after that 74-72 game and multiply that by 10
Now you want an interesting matchup!
Imagine a howling butt hurt Saban losing again to LSU on Nov 7 and having two losses on the season and facing teams in Nov like:
Tenn Martin on 11/14
Texas A&M on 11/21
Auburn on 11/21
Now there’s an interesting matchup on 11/21 and 11/28. Tuna’s gone, the Tide is down on the offensive side and they’re ripe for abuse!

I live in Metairie. Hardly an LSU around. This is Saints country. People in Metairie really don’t care about LSU. We did have Big Lee, the archetypal LSU fan though.
