Having read how he couldn't be bothered to give a shite about recruiting in any way, shape, or form I'm surprised Yeller Feller didn't ride his horse into the Harsin house and challenge his arse to a duel.

They're bad, but probably not too much worse than most boosters at big schools. The media plays up that angle because Bama fans click the hell out of it then regurgitate it on here.

Who knew he was in over his head for SEC level coaching & recruiting? I mean he hired a bunch of veteran SEC coaches to help him out, Mason/Bobo/Friend/Williams/Etheridge etc. all were versed in SEC recruiting and knew how much manhours and labor has to go into a recruiting class.

And he wouldn’t listen to a damn one of them.

Auburn’s starting to trickle some stuff out about the Harsin era, and today the recruiting guys released a scathing podcast of what has been going on behind the scenes. One thing they said is they had talked to their counterpart at UGA and he told them Bobo said that when he had to drag Harsin to the recruiting meetings, he knew they were in trouble.

He had no SEC experience and he selected some of his staff in an attempt to make up for it. They were coaches he really didn't think like he did and were only hired because someone tried to convince him it would smooth the water with the Auburn People. Bobo and Mason were actually pushed out of the SEC, so why them is confusing. Friend was not very well thought of by many in the SEC and the other two were there because of the AU connection. Harsin blew it himself and not because of Booster interference. As a matter of fact, the boosters let him hang himself and he cooperated. Really no booster got in his way despite what the media is trying to say.
