Because no contractor will accept blame for weather-related delays. Those are considered "acts of god". In order to overcome the delays attributed to the long stretches of inclement weather last year, LSU paid to ensure timely completion.

Yes. A long time ago.

Good. That was the worst.

What blow my mind, is how Tiger Stadium can pass an inspection for its construction. Don't get my wrong, its a beautiful stadium, but it's looks like 3 different stadiums kind of mashed into one. All the expansion don't have the same "look" to them on the inside. You can't see it from the outside because they have a badass facade.

I think that is the point of a facade.

They didn't remove it. They just painted it

The entire expansion will be completed by the first game of the season.
Are you telling me this?

Was pretty sure you were wrong about this so I asked my buddy on the job and he confirmed the contractor had to foot the bill.

Same color as the under carriage area that looks unfinished. I could go on and on about the terrible west side.
TS really only has 3 sides because east isn't viewable. At least after this year 2 of 3 will look nice.

You think they will ever mess with the outside of the East?
But yea no idea wtf they were thinking with the West side. I can't get over how the stadium is grey, then you have tan brick columns around the stadium to go with that brown brick West side.

So saban was right about the football field being a triangle?
Posted on 1/22/14 at 2:13 pm to hg
I don't see much of a reason to personally.

If we would go with some sort of internal "drop down" dimming shades and take down the ridiculous slats, the windows on the West Upper would look pretty badass.
Then, we need to fix the undercarriage of the West Upper. It looks terrible, and half-arse. And reroute the pipe.

If I'm wrong I'll apologize for spreading misinformation. But I'm pretty sure LSU did at the very least offer incentives to expedite the construction. I've heard it from too many people to discount it.

It's not a ton of work (relatively speaking). Remove the flats and put in tinted windows if sun is the problem. Fix the under carriage. Replace the fake brick with something nicer.
Boom west side goes from looking like shite to probably looking pretty nice.

Actually, they are continuing the original Roman Arch design onto the new SEZ Upper, so the north and south ends will be similar.

BHG Stadium needs a facelift. The stadium grounds and walkway on the north side are nice. Thats about it. The rest of it is kind of ugly.
