The bats are all over Texas.
They're invincible--will outlive us all.

Took some pictures of the Tiger Stadium expansion yesterday. It's remarkable how much larger it looks in person.

Are the old dorms still in the side of the stadium?

Yeah they wrap around the east, north, and west sides. They're mostly used for storage now.

There's been talk of one day renovating them and renting them for private use on game days, but that would likely be an expensive undertaking.

Any reason they didn't go higher than 4 rows for the first set of general seating? I'm referring to that last picture FWIW Looks great

The general seating in the SEZ expansion is for visitors. The old visitors seats in the lower bowl are going to LSU fans now.

So they didn't need a lot of general seating. This expansion was about adding premium seating.

With 66 suites in the new addition, LSU moves past Arkansas for 2nd most suites with 136 suites total. With 3,000+ club seats, LSU now has 6,200 stadium club seats.

That's a total of around 9,328 premium seats of all types, tops in the SEC.

You're lucky. Even though the seats aren't lower bowl, it's going to be a breeze to visit the restrooms and concessions. They're literally right behind you...

I don't know why in the ever-loving Hades the TAF in its infinite wisdom didn't just build more rows to the top to meet the 2 upper decks height. It would have put us at 102,000+ instead of just a measly 99,500-100,000.

IMO, I think it would have looked so weird if they built it to match the east and west sides. It would kind of leave the unexpanded endzone awkwardly open.

It's definitely more than 100,000. I believe the new total capacity will be around 100,500.

LSU senior associate athletic director Eddie Nunez said the twin video boards will go up later this spring and that the construction won't hamper the LSU spring game on April 5 nor the Bayou Country Superfest May 23-25.

"All indications are we will be right at the 100,000 mark, up to about 101,000," Nunez said.

Impressive. Bama has 157 suites but only around 4000 club seats.
