I'm glad farmer asked the question.
I thought it (fence at LSU) was in place, resultant of their stadium construction.
And yeah, it's always interesting to see what kinds of comments ruffle feathers on this board.

I just looked at a picture of Kyle and you have a wall along both sidelines.

The fences/shrubs around the field isn't a trait shared by all stadiums, especially not in our area of the country.
Ok, but are you new to college football?

Wait, you thought a wrought iron fence was installed around the entire field for construction in one end zone?

Yeah, I glanced at it but didn't really think it was permanent for the same reason.
I get that a lot of southern schools have shrubs and walls and the like, but I hadn't noticed the fence @ TS before for some reason. Probably a good thing. Blends in well.
But yeah that's not a staple of stadiums everywhere. Definitely not TX. Don't think Arky has anything like that either iirc.

It's like playing minesweeper

Some of the shite that gets asked on here just make me shake my head. That's all.

The stands are right up on the wall. It's not a detached barrier.
What I don't get is why that innocuous question irked you and hg so

What gives, my man?

Of all the questions that have been asked, that one set you off, though?
You need to go eat a Snickers

I believe Bryant Denny has walls?
They've got a fence as well:
I assumed it was standard in stadiums with seats that go all the way down to field level.

And instead of a wall we have a fence. We pushed our fence five feet off from row one to allow people to walk. It's not rocket science, it really isn't.

This was the photo I saw.
I could not tell that it was (a) wrought iron and/or (b) temporary.
The "wall" you referenced at Kyle Field is simply that point where the seats end and the grass begins.
It basically comes up to a person's mid thigh.
I honestly don't understand your reaction at all--but my apologies if any of my comments were interpreted as some sort of slight towards your university and the stadium.
That certainly wasn't my intention.

Geez their stands are far from the field.

Guess not.
It makes some sense with the reason bbap gave, it's just not universal.

I didn't find it offensive. It was more of a you serious Clark?

I'm so confused. It's somehow strange that LSU has a fence surrounding the field. If not, there would literally be nothing separating the fans from the first row and the players on the bench.

Ok, go look at the pic Jefferson posted of BDS. See the white walls buttressed up against the seats (not the fence around the stadium). That's equivalent to what you're calling the "walls" at Kyle. Not the same thing. We don't have a separate barrier beyond the seats like y'all and others have. Many in Texas/southwest/midwest don't.

Holy shite, the 50 yard line seats are far as hell away from the field

If you're used to frequenting stadiums without such a feature, it's notable.

Not necessarily. Like bbap noted, the front row of stands has a wall. Unlike some of y'all's facilities, we don't have another separate barrier.

No it doesn't. Row 1 is separated by the wrought iron fence and nothing more.
