It depends on whether or not the Big 10 is perceived to be getting a leg up. And then if the Big 12 starts creating buzz by bringing every other decent team in. It's possible the SEC will not be recognized by most of you several years down the road. This will especially be apparent to you blue bloods.
Clemson, FSU, Miami and NC are out there for the taking. But NC would likely thumb their nose. How about Oklahoma State? They always have a high powered offense.

I really don't give a shite. We have a successful formula of passion and tradition. It makes money and it feeds the pipeline of interest. Letting all of these outsiders in with equal conference decision making ability is a big time mistake. At best, it is a roll of the dice. At worst, it is destruction of a conference that has stood for 90 years (More if you count the Southern Conference).
It's more than a conference. It is a brotherhood. We band together and have each others back. I'm not so sure a Virginia, UNC, FSU, or Texas is going to feel that same camaraderie. Hell, FSU had their chance in the 1990s and decided against the SEC.
