I don't see what the big deal with this whole Petrino ordeal is. I mean.....It's not like Arkansas fans gave a shite about Nutt screwing around....

one is a winner on the field while the other was a loser.
its a pretty simple and usual double standard.
The winning coach will get a pass from his fanbase for the most part while one that isn't winning gets rolled over. Anyone acting like their fanbase wouldn't do the same is just full of shite.

Cheating on his wife would probably would not get Petrino fired.
Anyone one of these three things could get him fired:
- Embarrassing the university with morally questionable conduct
- Lying to your superiors
- Boning a subordinate employee
- Perhaps hiring said employee because you were boning her.
Taken together, it's pretty damning. I'd say in most cases, he's gone. But this Arkansas, and they are curiously ecstatic with their position in the SEC West under Petrino. So it all comes down to how desperate they are to keep (mostly) winning.
Anyone one of these three things could get him fired:

eh. That's debatable. Obviously at the moment it is but if we had a coach who knew what the frick he was doing in 08 or 09, we get to Atlanta at least once.

The Nutt situation went far beyond his deal with Bragg.
Petrino isn't in trouble because of his "Inappropriate Relationship" , but because he lied to Long.
