So the SEC has beat *checks notes* Tulane and another SEC team.

Guess at least you get another mandatory win with OM/UGA lol.

Why do Ole Miss fans think Kiffin can win a ton of games at Ole Miss but not LSU?
Why do LSU fans think Kelly can get Notre Dame to the CFP but not at LSU?

We were told that BK couldn't compete in the SEC but that wouldn't be the case with Lane.

I'm not saying he's going to win a natty or anything, I am just curious why so many think he's going to fall on his face.

Because he IS BK 2.0.

Because that's what he's done his whole career over & over again?

He's moved on to better opportunities at his last three jobs.

When did he fall on his face? When he was fired in Oakland 15 years ago? When he was fired at sanction riddled USC over 10 years ago?

We were told that BK couldn't win the big games because of ND's academic requirements. This isn't exclusive to Kiffin and Ole Miss to LSU, but the "if he can win at X than imagine what he can do at Y" mantra applies less today than ever before.

Kiffin might be successful in Red Stick but I don't see him reaching the expectations yall are placing on him. He won't care though, because LSU is paying him a lot of money and he knows he can get a HC or OC job elsewhere when he is fired. If he thinks Oxford got toxic towards him after he left, the animosity towards him after dropping a game against UK, Arkansas, a shitty Florida team, or a season opener against a lesser opponent will make that look minor.

He's entertaining AF and I'm glad he is still in the SEC, but the baws and Kiffin are a reality TV show waiting to happen.

Sure, but I'm asking why some are so convinced that he's going to be trash.

I think most realistic people just expect him to have LSU in contention. That's a fair expectation I'd think.

Because he nearly always has dropped game or two a season he shouldn't. This was his best season ever and he bailed without seeing it through, although the timeline with ESD, the TP, and CFP kind of dictated that.

I think that's a fair expectation, but how long do you give the self-proclaimed Portal King to make that happen? 3 seasons??? I'm genuinely asking...

I've never liked this argument because it applies to just about everyone.

I'd assume he'd get, at minimum, the same amount of time as BK, so at least 4 years.
