I wish we didn't have so much trolling going on, as I'd like to discuss actual football.

I don't think either Kelly or Deboer is going to lose their job this year, but I agree their seats are pretty warm. You have to meet expectations
quote:

LSU went 8-4 last year why wasn't he fired last year? If you think DeBoer should be fired if he doesn't get Alabama to the playoffs this year in his second year. Kelly is now going into his 4th year that makes more sense if he once again failed to make the playoffs this year should be fired.

Please tell me you're trolling

There is no objective way you can put Kelly and Deboer in the same range of expectations.

LSU fans WANT a lot, but LSU has slid from the top spot in the SEC almost a decade ago, probably longer. By the time Orgeron was fired, we'd dropped to a .500 program. Kelly was brought in to fix that, and get us back into the top half/third of the conference. He's done that, and now people are getting hungry again. But we still haven't caught Bama, UGA, Tennessee, or now Texas. We're co-equal with Kiffin's Ole Miss team, and Kiffin is beloved for that.

Alabama under Saban was the top team in not just the conference, but the country, for a decade. Only recently has UGA seemingly caught them, but Bama has been able to keep beating them head-to-head for the most part. Saban's last team was in the playoffs, and went to OT against the eventual national champs. This, with a QB everyone loved to make fun of.

The TL,DR version is this: 8-4 or 9-3 for LSU is disappointing, but ultimately acceptable. It still maintains Same record for Bama is a disaster.

Decent chance DuBose vaults to #1 on the list with the way alabama’s schedule lines up.

If he drops the game to Florida State week 1 the writing will be on the wall. I think the pitchforks will more likely come out if he loses 3 total again and misses the playoffs.

South Carolina’s Shane Beamer – 1.11

Tennessee’s Josh Heupel – 1.11

Both of these way too low.

Heupel's seat is ice cold. He would literally have to go 4-8 for it to get warm.

He was a package deal with Danny White, and Danny has his back.

Heupel is probably safe, but I would still say Kiffin and Drink are safer

And you would be wrong.

Meanwhile over on the plains their fans just hope they have a winning season for the first time this decade.

You have plenty enough to worry about, don’t stress about how Alabama is doing.
