The grand irony is that being kept in check will probably help them. A lot of their issues are ego and money run amok.

Texas hurt the prior members’ feelings by beating them too much, resulting in said teams running away and getting this narrative across to their new conference mates to beg for their for attention

Arkansas left the swc because Frank Broyles was concerned that texas and aggy would leave and leave us hung out to dry. The move to the SEC was a no brainer. We wanted to keep playing texas but that was never going to happen. That was the only thing I missed about the move.

Those that could leave left, the rest withered away under the idiocy that is Texas University. Y’all became a big fish in a small pond by polluting the pond.
Lol the teams that left, including Texas a&m and Nebraska, both voted in-step with Texas in the Big 12 on almost every issue, including unequal revenue sharing

Which is why Texas has been making more in revenue than any school in the country without being in the SEC? Which is why the SEC voted Texas and Oklahoma in unanimously?

Lol the theories y’all ate up from aggie fans have become so adorable

SEC stays the same. University of Texas at Austin will be known by its full name. Like a serial killer.

Not sure why a high schooler would rather troll grown men on a football forum instead of talking to girls but I wasn't a loser. Spend less time on here and more time studying...so you might actually be able to get into Texas one day.

Imagine being surprised that a conference where 8 of 9 schools were from a single state died at the beginning of the TV era. SWC didn't die because of Texas, it died because only people from Texas would watch the games. Plus all the rampant cheating.

Big 12 "died" because Nebraska opened the door after going 1-9 against Texas. And they did so before the longhorn network was a thing btw. Other schools can look around or leave but Texas has a responsibility to keep the conference afloat?

It's convenient that all the schools who turn around and yell about how Texas destroyed the conference all make a shite load more money in the conferences they wanted to join when the SWC died. Really curious.
